At KC Wine Co, we’re not just pouring wine. We’re pouring years of family tradition, Midwest grit, and a whole lot of “let’s try it and see what happens.”
What started as a family-run pumpkin patch has grown into one of the most unique winery experiences in the Kansas City area… where vineyard views meet wine, live music, and weekend events.
Our Story
KC Wine Co didn’t start as a winery.
Back in 2004, the Berggren family launched KC Pumpkin Patch in Gardner, Kansas. What began as a seasonal fall destination quickly became a local tradition. When redevelopment forced a move, the family purchased land in Olathe in 2015… land that included a small vineyard.
That vineyard sparked an idea for the Berggren’s daughter, Taylor.
With years of hard work, planting, and reinvestment, the property transformed into what is now KC Wine Co. A boutique Kansas winery producing wines, ciders, and seasonal drinks with the everyday sipper in mind.
Today, KC Wine Co sits on that same land at 13876 S. Gardner Rd. KS. Still family-owned, still evolving… and still rooted in agriculture.
